A staple offering from Sugar&Co. These are slacks-style denim trousers crafted from original selvedge denim produced in the Bitchu-Bingo region of Okayama Prefecture—the heartland of Japanese denim. The fabric is made from "Supima cotton," an extra-long staple variety with fibers exceeding 35mm in length. Custom-spun into yarn with pronounced slub characteristics, the cotton undergoes rope-dyeing using either deep pure indigo or oxidative dye (for the black version). It is then woven on vintage shuttle looms with minimal tension, resulting in an ideal fabric that combines a rich, textured slub appearance with a soft, supple hand-feel.

To ensure the garment retains its beautiful silhouette and comfort over the long term, the raw fabric undergoes a special treatment process. While preserving the vintage-style character unique to selvedge denim and the appealing fading that develops with wear, this process minimizes twisting and excessive shrinkage—allowing you to enjoy the fabric's evolution over time while maintaining a refined, clean silhouette.
